YG Entertainment Pulls BLACKPINK’s Lisa Out From BVLGARI Events And Photoshoots In Paris

BVLGARI’s CEO explained why.

As an official global ambassador of luxury jewelry brand BVLGARI, BLACKPINK‘s Lisa has the special privilege of attending its events in Paris.

Unfortunately, even though Lisa is already in the city for Paris Fashion Week, YG Entertainment has barred her from participating in any event. BVLGARI CEO Jean-Christophe Babin personally took to Instagram to explain the situation to fans.

In a recent post, he thanked several people for the brand’s catwalk at the Paris Opera, which Lisa was not present for. He noted that Lisa’s agency, YG Entertainment, did not allow her to attend the event due to COVID-19. He called it a “pity” that she will be missing a big event the next day.

Lisa is in Paris, but unfortunately, due to COVID, her agency doesn’t want her to participate [in any event.] Pity as we have an incredible Bvlgari event tomorrow in Milano, and she won’t attend.

— Bvlgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin

In a separate post, he repeated his earlier statement and added that YG Entertainment’s decision caused her to miss a photoshoot with big names like Zendaya and Lily Aldridge.

Our great ambassador @lalalalisa_m is in Europe. Unfortunately, due to COVID, her agency prefers [that she] not [participate in] events or shows. That’s also the reason why insofar we could not shoot her together with @zendaya, @lilyaldridge and @vittoria for the @bulgari Brand Campaign 2021/22 and [why] we could not run a major event yet together.

Although Lisa may be missing a few important events, it is far from the end of the road for her. Jean-Christophe Babin revealed that he is close friends with Lisa and plans to work with her more.

But YES we will do it very soon as we are great friends and are striving to really activate the collaboration at 360 degrees. I hope it answers @lalalalisa_m [fans’] many inquiries and questions [that I received.]

YG Entertainment has yet to release a statement in response to the news.
