SHINee’s Taemin Gives SF9’s Chani Encouraging Advice Ahead Of The Groups’ Performance On “Kingdom”

If anyone can give words of wisdom, it’s Taemin!

SF9 is one of the six groups participating in Mnet‘s Kingdom and the members have been impressing fans with their talents and diverse performances.

The theme of the latest round has been “No Limit,” where each group is free to choose whatever song and put on whatever stage they want. As seen in the teasers for the upcoming episode, SF9 has chosen to cover SHINee Taemin‘s song “Move.”

Ahead of their performance, Mnet released some exclusive footage as the groups prepare for the stage. During the video, SF9’s maknae Chani makes a call on his way to rehearsal to none other than Taemin himself.

Chani explained that the group would be covering “Move,” and Taemin immediately made a joke, saying, “Isn’t it better to have a fancier stage on ‘Kingdom?‘”

Luckily, Chani stuck by their choice and took the opportunity to ask for some advice on how to do the song justice. As expected, their senior Taemin had the perfect words of wisdom for the group.

“Move” consists of the choreography that the mood has a big role. Instead of just dancing because it’s the choreography, you have to dance as if the motion comes out automatically due to my thought.

Although Chani seemed to find the idea impossible, Taemin said that he was looking forward to their performance and assured them that they would do well re-creating “Move” in their “own color.”

If that wasn’t enough, Taemin made sure Chani felt comfortable doing his song, giving him the confidence to believe that the group can do justice to his iconic track.

Show your own style! If you look cool on stage, I think that’s enough, and there will definitely be good results.
