So, as the members gave their ending speeches at the tour’s final concert at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Los Angeles, California, they couldn’t help but get emotional.

Maknae I.M reflected on his journey with MONSTA X. He shared that, in the past, they used to worry about worldly successes, such as winning awards, money, etc. Now, he focuses just on happiness and MONBEBE (fans on MONSTA X).

At the beginning when I just started MONSTA X as a singer idol, we had so lots of goals. We want to have the first [place] prize, or we wanted to be a billionaire, whatever that is. But honestly now, I don’t really have any goals. My goal is just being happy with you guys…

Although his priorities and goals have changed, I.M still has things he wants to achieve. Yet, he recognized that there was one constant in his life: MONBEBE.

Of course, there’s a lot of … things I want to achieve. You know… Since seven years passed and a lot of things changed and happened, I found out you guys, as always, you guys are my very precious, precious … in my life.

— I.M

I.M became even more vulnerable, breaking down the “perfect idol image.” He opened up about his mental health, particularly his struggles with anxiety.

I am a singer, you know, and I’m an idol. But before that, I’m just a normal man, just a kid, just a guy, so I also feel anxious, angry, sad, just like you guys.

Also, I.M shared how he has been able to not only cope but overcome anxiety. While it’s still an ongoing battle, he knows he is not fighting it alone. He has not only MONSTA X but MONBEBEs by his side.

But the way I can get out… First thing, you guys really made me out of this anxiety, and, still, there’s a lot of things in my head, lots of things going on right now but, with you guys, I can hold it in… I can handle myself.

— I.M

So, he concluded his speech by expressing a sincere message of gratitude to all MONBEBEs. He assured them that anytime the members say “thank you” or “I love you,” they truly mean it.

Seriously, we always say thank you and love you, but it’s from our whole heart. We don’t take it for granted, we don’t think that it’s ‘very obvious’ things. I just wanna say that you guys are really our everything in MONSTA X.

— I.M

Over the years, I.M has gone through a lot, especially as an idol. MONSTA X was formed through the emotional survival program NO.MERCY, and he received a lot of hate during the course of it. Read more below:
