Lovelyz Manager Takes Fan And Threatens Him In Bathroom, Agency Responds

Woollim Entertainment has responded to the controversy that involved a staff member of theirs threatening a fan.

The incident happened at a fan signing at Dongseoul Art Hall on November 26.

The fan only described as Mr. A, 30 years old, posted an online post about the event titled “Lovelyz Manager Accusing Behaviour.”

He detailed how he was threatened and summoned to the bathroom.

The misunderstanding started when the fan glared at the manager for a few seconds after receiving Jiae’s signature.

He felt the time was too short for each member, and that this made the event too rushed and unfair.

“The manager then told me to come aside, walked me to the bathroom, and locked the door.”

The manager reportedly put his hand on his shoulder and asked, “How old are you? Why are you staring at other people?” in an informal manner.

The fan felt threatened and the situation simply ended without any word of apology.

Mr. A’s revelation was immediately picked up by fellow fans and circulated until Lovelyz’s company, Woolim Entertainment, caught wind of it.

Woollim Entertainment then released a statement apologizing for the incident.

“The manager acknowledged his mistake in all areas and will take responsibility and action.

We will make an effort to reorganise our company internally so this will not happen again in the future.

We will do our best to move forward on the basis of respect and trust in a more modest attitude.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience to the fans that love Lovelyz.”

Here’s hoping nothing like this ever happens in the future!
