The two leaders walked towards the stage from opposite sides of the building before meeting at the center.

They stayed infront of the hotel for under a minute, before retreating back into the shade.

Donald Trump was confident the meeting would be a success.

“I feel really great, we’re going to have a great discussion, and I think tremendous success… It’s my honor and we will have a terrific relationship, I have no doubt.” — Donald Trump

Kim Jong Un returned the favor, praising the effort given by both sides to make the meeting happen.

“Well, it wasn’t easy to get to this point. The past has affected us and the old prejudices against us work as obstacles on our way forward, but we overcame all of them and are here today.” — Kim Jong Un

This is the second historical meeting for Kim Jong Un this year, as he previously traveled to South Korea for the first time back in April.
