Although Kang Se Byeok in Squid Game was her first acting role, superstar model Jung Ho Yeon has shot to stardom and is being cast alongside A-List Hollywood actors. She has also received praise from both Zendaya and Andrew Garfield.

Most recently, she starred in The Weeknd‘s music video for his hit song “Out of Time,” featuring actor Jim Carrey. She displayed great chemistry alongside the Canadian singer-songwriter.

Now, she has been cast in two big projects back to back.

Jung Ho Yeon has been cast in an erotic drama alongside Wolf‘s Lily-Rose Depp (Johnny Depp‘s daughter) and Renate Reinsve of Worst Person in the World fame. The actresses will star as “three French nannies who decide to let loose and explore their sexualities.”

The film will be developed by independent entertainment company A24 with assistance from BBC Films. A24 announced the production of The Governesses shortly after news about upcoming horror films X and Pearl.

The film will be directed by Joe Talbot, who made his feature film directorial debut with Last Black Man in San Francisco. His next feature, The Governesses, is to film in Spain.

The Governesses is based on the 2018 erotic novella of the same name, written by French writer Anne Serre.

Described as a feminist fantasy, the book begins with the three women in a country house closed off by a large garden. Rather than focus on the educational needs of the children in their care, the women spend their time filled with desire and lying in wait to throw themselves at strangers as an old man in the house across the way watches them from a telescope.

Like an ‘erotic fairy-tale,’ the book culminates in a grand ball thrown in the governesses’ honour, a party that turns out to be more mysterious than it initially lets on. With A24’s history of using creative cinematic techniques to hook viewers and tell poignant stories, we expect the erotic drama will be a whirlwind from start to finish.
