BTS’s “Boy With Luv” Makes History For Korean Groups On Billboard’s Pop Songs Chart

No other Korean group has ever achieved this.

BTS have set an incredible new precedent, not just for themselves, but for all Korean groups on Billboard’s Pop Songs Chart.

With “Boy With Luv” (featuring Halsey), BTS has reached their highest ranking ever on the Pop Songs Chart! “Boy With Luv” came in at No. 27 last week, and it has now shot up to No. 22 for the May 11 chart date.

Prior to this, “MIC Drop” was BTS’s highest charting song on this Billboard chart. It took the No. 25 spot, back in January 2018. So far, a total of four BTS songs have entered the Pop Songs Chart: “Boy With Luv”, “MIC Drop”, “FAKE LOVE” (peaked at No. 34), and their collaboration with Steve Aoki, “Waste It On Me” (peaked at No. 38).

There is only one Korean artist who has ever ranked higher on this chart. In 2012, PSY took the No.10 spot with his global hit single, “Gangnam Style”.
