These Are The 9 Longest-Lasting K-Pop Group Line-Ups

These members stuck together through thick and thin, and some are continuing to do so!

In the K-Pop world, many groups end up having members leave, and sometimes get replaced, at some point in their time together. In fact, it seems to be a more common thing than not, so it’s actually really impressive and inspiring to see a certain member line-up last for a long time!

The following 9 K-Pop groups have had the longest lasting line-ups at some point in their career, whether it’s current or in the past.

9. CNBLUE: 9 years, 7 months, 15 days

CNBLUE debuted in Korea on January 14, 2010 with 4 members: Yonghwa, Minhyuk, Jonghyun, and Jungshin. Former bassist Kwangjin left in 2009 before the group debuted in Korea, so the 4 members that were in the lineup for the Korean debut continued until Jonghyun left in August of 2019. This period of time made this 4-member lineup place at #9 on this list!

8. TVXQ: 9 years, 8 months, 1 day (and counting)

TVXQ originally debuted on December 26, 2003 with 5 members: U-Know, Changmin, Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yoochun. On January 5, 2011, the latter 3 members left to form JYJ. And so, the current members of TVXQ — U-Know and Changmin — hold this 8th place record, and continue to promote as a duo.

7. FTISLAND: 10 years, 1 month, 10 days

FTISLAND first debuted on June 7, 2007, with 5 members: Hongki, Jaejin, Minhwan, Jonghoon, and Wonbin. Wonbin left the group in 2009 and was replaced by Seunghyun, and this 5-member group continued until March 2019, when Jonghoon and Seunghyun both left. But they lasted over 10 years with a solid line-up, which is more than most groups can say!

6. 2PM: 10 years, 11 months, 28 days (and counting)

2PM originally debuted on September 4, 2008, with 7 members: Jun.K, Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Junho, Chansung, and Jay Park. Jay Park ended up leaving in September of 2009, but the 6 remaining members have stayed the same since, and continue to stay together, though they haven’t been active as a group in some time.

5. Supernova: 11 years, 3 months, 28 days

Supernova debuted on September 21, 2007, with 6 members: Yunhak, Sungje, Kwangsu, Jihyuk, Geonil, and Sungmo. They amazingly kept this full line-up until January of 2019, when Sungmo left the group. This means they had their original line-up for over 11 years, which is really impressive!

4. BIGBANG: 12 years, 6 months, 16 days

BIGBANG originally debuted on August 19, 2006 with 5 members: G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri. Of course, Seungri left the group after his massive scandal in March 2019, but before then, the original five members stayed together for a very long time!

3. Davichi: 12 years, 7 months, 2 days (and counting)

The duo Davichi debuted on February 4, 2008, with their still-current members Haeri and Minkyung. Incredibly, they’ve stayed together all of these years, and continue to promote as a duo even today, which means they’re going on 13 years now!

2. Brown Eyed Girls: 14 years, 6 months, 4 days (and counting)

Brown Eyed Girls debuted on Marcy 2, 2006, with 4 members: JeA, Gain, Narsha, and Miryo. Amazingly, they’re still together to this day (and recently had a comeback!), making them easily the longest-lived girl group in the industry. It’s even more impressive that they still have their original members as well!

1. Shinhwa: 22 years, 3 months, 27 days (and counting)

Shinhwa is nothing short of incredible! They debuted on May 9, 1998, with 6 members: Eric, Andy, Minwoo, Junjin, Dongwan, and Hyesung. Though they haven’t always been actively promoting since then, they are still officially together to this day, which means they’ve been a group for over 22 years with the original members!
